main responsibilities:
* to develop and continuously improve forecasting models within a demand planning system.
* to analyze historical data and identify trends and patterns to inform business decisions.
* to measure and monitor statistical forecast accuracy metrics to ensure optimal algorithm performance.
* to design and implement data cleaning and transformation techniques to maintain data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
* to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and requirements.
* to create data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.
* to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis, specifically new techniques supported by the demand planning system.
required skills and qualifications:
* bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field.
* minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on time-series forecasting.
* advanced english proficiency.
* familiarity with demand planning systems and their capabilities.
* experience with machine learning algorithms focused on time series.
* proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., tableau, power bi).
* experience with statistical tools (e.g., rstudio, databricks).
* strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
* excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
