general summary
responsible for the implementation, control, and improvement of manufacturing processes, managing all related resources and activities. This includes implementing engineering changes, creating procedures and work instructions, controlling tooling and equipment, supporting product transfers, developing projects, and validating results.
all activities should focus on continuous product quality improvement and operational productivity.
duties & responsibilities
* create, review, and approve engineering changes (cmrs and cmos), ensuring customer requirements are met or exceeded.
* create and approve deviations (tdas) for products or processes when necessary.
* modify routings in sap as required.
* coordinate facility modifications as needed.
* assign specifications and workflows in the maintenance module; support production with tollgate issues.
* create and update pfmeas for responsible products.
* create and modify engineering procedures and process flow charts.
* develop and update time studies for product manufacturing.
* improve processes to reduce or eliminate quality and cost issues.
* address safety, quality, cost, and delivery issues.
* promote health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
* develop and manage projects, including reporting and validation of results regarding efficiency, scrap, and costs.
* ensure formal delivery lines to production with validated products.
* follow safety, health, and environmental standards and policies.
required qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, electromechanical, or related engineering field.
* proficiency in english (written and spoken).
* at least 1 year of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
* leadership in problem-solving.
* ability to work in different shifts, including second and third shifts.
skills required
* experience with sap related to engineering.
* knowledge of cmrs and cmos management.
* line balancing skills.
* ability to generate and interpret plans and layouts.
* experience with purchasing requisitions.
* knowledge of statistical control charts, kanban, tl9000 standards, dimensional metrology, and predictive/preventive maintenance.
* proactive, organized, and team-oriented attitude.
