The project manager is responsible for successfully leading projects to completion while working cross-functionally with key members of various talent solutions recruitment process outsourcing (rpo) departments, including program delivery, implementation, business intelligence, recruitment marketing, sales, solutions, technology, back office, and other internal coes.
this position is a highly visible role within the north american rpo organization, and the efficacy of this employee will have a significant impact on the business objectives, other departments’ efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will accept and embrace the unique challenge of joining a new and agile department, and it can lead to tremendous growth opportunities within the organization. To be successful in this role, you need to be an assertive ‘cat-herder’ who can lead a team of strong personalities, pivot when necessary, and enjoys helping build malleable, scalable structures and processes while working closely with the director of project management office (pmo) and other pm colleagues.
day-to-day responsibilities
the very nature of this role means there will be interaction with many unique personalities across multiple departments and role types—and this excites you! Rpo project managers will help form the direction of a new pmo with the director of pmo while being adaptable to the new department’s changing needs. Minimal pride of ownership is necessary, along with the ability to perform the following primary responsibilities:
* managing initiatives or projects that require coordination of multiple resources across varying groups, functions, and/or organizations such as program delivery, implementation, business intelligence, recruitment marketing, sales, solutions, technology, back office, and other internal coes to support our multi-faceted rpo structure.
* ensuring the on-time and on-budget delivery of a high-quality solution that meets or exceeds client requirements. This includes but is not limited to project initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, communicating, taking corrective action, providing performance / progress reports, and closing using industry standard procedures for the delivery of rpo solutions.
* delivering upon key performance indicators (kpis) and service level agreements (slas) that are tied to organizational goals and success.
* assessing and tracking multiple projects concurrently including project scope, project management plans, budgets, resources, risk mitigation, and issue management.
* leading implementation activities of new engagements following the rpo deployment methodology; and for producing all required documentation, as called for by the methodology.
* establishing routine, ongoing communication processes to ensure all project stakeholders have all necessary current and pertinent information.
* facilitating fact-finding sessions, conference calls, and other communications as needed to lead projects to successful outcomes meeting client business needs within stated standards and strategy.
* acting in a consultative role to clients and operations teams.
experience level
we are looking for someone with a unique skillset who’s process-driven, outcome-oriented, and thick-skinned. Therefore, while we appreciate if you have any of the following levels of experience, we encourage anyone who doesn’t meet the following criteria to apply if you feel you have the characteristics to be successful in this role:
* 7+ years in the recruitment, talent acquisition, consulting, or related industry
* 7+ years working in project management, implementation, or other pmos
* 3+ years working with clients, preferably in the implementation of recruitment outsourcing solutions or program management.
* fluent in english and spanish. Portuguese is a plus.
* proven experience in process improvement, preferably in the recruitment or hr domain.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to demonstrate ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
* experience managing initiatives or projects which require coordination of multiple resources across varying groups, functions, and/or organizations
* extremely adept in all microsoft office suite programs, including project, excel, word, visio, and powerpoint
* prior experience using project management software
* exposure to avature crm or other crms preferred, but not required
* exposure to applicant tracking systems (ats) preferred, but not required
* exposure to or experience with business intelligence / data analytics preferred, but not required
* ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
education
* bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human resources, business administration or related field
* project management professional pmp-pmi certification or related certification
* prosci change management certification or related experience
helpful technical / functional skills
* sensitivity to cross-cultural issues, similarities, and differences
* proven ability to strategically identify and implement continuous improvements to rpo process
* understanding of and experience using and implementing multiple business process tools and technology, such as applicant tracking systems (ats), vendor management systems (vms), candidate or customer relationship management tools (crm), or hris technologies
