british american tobacco mexico has an exciting opportunity for a senior area manager on trade & convenience (modern channel) - pacific in guadalajara

achieve the key sales and market share objectives for your area as defined in convenience (modern channel) & entertainment channel. Identify trends and opportunities to build and implement plans aligned with the company's strategy, always ensuring the accurate utilization of assigned resources

your key responsibilities will include


* plan and implement the trade marketing strategy for your area (specific in convenience (modern channel) & entertainment channels).
* handle the route to market of your distributor, seeking the most appropriate levels of the convenience (modern) & entertainment channels to ensure distribution control.
* analyse key operational indicators to gain insights that give to process and design improvement plans for your commercial management.
* find opportunities in consumer trends, portfolio, service model changes, promotions, margins, and ensure competitor tracking. Develop and lead trial platforms to promote the consumer path.
* ensure the accurate implementation of the marketing strategy (brands and activation) by controlling the assigned resources to increase the results of the initiatives.
* meet the financial objectives of the branch by involving the following processes preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenses, supervising variations, and establishing corrective actions.
* participate in the development of the company's leadership agenda and communicate work expectations to each employee, balancing potential, and experience.
* build and maintain a relationship matrix with key stakeholders and key clients, identifying new business opportunities.
* highly competitive and regulated, it involves around 70% fieldwork in the traditional channel and 30% administrative work. Good handling of high pressure, and flexibility in working hours. Good negotiation and influence skills with key stakeholders.

what are we looking for?

* 3 to 5 years of work experience in consumer goods companies in distribution and marketing areas.
* a professional degree in administrative careers, marketing, or related fields is required.
* advanced office skills and power bi.
* advanced english proficiency (90%).
* experience with sales information systems.
* experience working with external or exclusive distributors (desirable).
