the role is responsible for ensuring full control and effective investment of deflator (or trade investment)/gross to net. The incumbent will evaluate the commercial and financial impact of the promotional grid and trade activities to course correct and guarantee trade investment optimization. Additionally, the role ensures that all the investment has the correct support, quantification, and concludes the promotional activities.
key accountabilities:
 * ensure strict control of deflator (trade investment), with full visibility by channel, retail environment, and customer, including monthly reporting, variance analysis, and corrective action plans.
 * lead analysis to recommend and support the commercial team in managing, reducing, and optimizing trade spend resources.
 * accurately manage deflator accruals, monitoring balances against trade investment activities, and highlighting risks/opportunities.
 * follow up accruals and reverses according to the trade investment planning.
 * provide monthly reporting to review credit notes versus deflator accruals.
 * validate and approve all support for new initiatives of trade investment to ensure consistency between documentation and investment objectives.
 * ensure that all settlements have the proper support and customer reconciliation before approving discounts.
 * maintain close partnerships with accounting and ar to guarantee proper reconciliation, compliance, and closure.
 * review and calculate roi & post mortem analysis for top trade investment initiatives, to drive business learnings.
 * act as guardian of trade spend governance, ensuring policies, internal controls, and audit readiness are in place, aligned with multinational fmcg best practices.
required skills and qualifications:
 * bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, economics, or industrial engineer.
 * commercial experience, trade marketing experience, and knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
 * at least 5 years of experience in finance.
 * at least 2 years of experience in sales controller.
 * fluent english conversation and written communication.
 * strong change management capabilities.
