Cost accountant
objective: the cost accountant is responsible for comparing actual cost to standard cost and identifying and explaining variance by customer, part number, and production jobs.
responsibilities
* making sure timely and accuracy of inventory transactions from inventory receipt, inventory usage, and finished goods shipment.
* conduct inventory cycle count programs for all locations.
* working with purchasing to ensure inventory costs on purchase orders:
* identify variance and the root cause.
* ensure inventory and labor transactions are processed timely and accurately.
* prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis.
* responsible for account reconciliation of physical inventories and cycle counts.
* responsible for reporting on labor productivity and efficiency for all locations.
requirements
* bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* minimum of 2 years of experience in cost and inventory analysis, preferably in manufacturing.
* strong knowledge of gaap and costing principles.
* experience with accounting systems and advanced excel.
* bilingual: english and spanish.
* work schedule: monday to friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at parque industrial "valle del sur".
