As a localization projects buyer, you will manage the pricing of formulas manufactured at any of ppg's global plants, and those intended to be produced at local plants in mexico or the region to supply the local or regional market.
you will report to the americas specialty raw materials manager and team leader.
key responsibilities
1. gather commercial data on formula materials and share it during the biweekly status meetings, involving participants from support areas such as commerce, logistics, and operations procurement.
2. handle commercial details with suppliers through follow-up via email, phone calls, and meetings.
3. serve as the main contact between the category manager and bu coordinator to discuss potential price impacts on formulas.
4. once formula implementation is approved, support supplier setup, bps creation, and coordinate with the department to ensure a smooth process flow.
qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
* bachelor's degree in engineering or management.
* 3+ years of experience coordinating relocation processes.
* negotiation experience with international suppliers.
* fluent in english.
* experience in price analysis.
