*about the role*:
we are seeking a seasoned *financial controller* to lead and oversee the financial and operational aspects of our organization.
this role will play a crucial part in shaping and implementing our corporate strategy through expert financial guidance and decision-making.
*key responsibilities*:
- *financial oversight*: lead and supervise general accounting functions, including treasury, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory management.
- *financial closing*: drive the monthly financial closing process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- *financial analysis*: analyze financial results, generate internal reports, and provide short-term and long-term forecasts.
- *treasury management*: manage bank accounts and oversee treasury operations.
- *regulatory compliance*: coordinate audits of financial statements and tax reporting with mexican authorities, including annual audits, icsoe, sisub, and inegi reports.
- *process efficiency*: handle tight deadlines and manage the period closing process, ensuring precision in voucher preparation, general ledger accuracy, and adherence to local regulations.
- *erp systems*: utilize erp software for recording, storing, and analyzing financial information.
- *financial reporting*: prepare monthly financial reporting packages and perform account reconciliations.
- *inter-company coordination*: oversee inter-company reconciliations and assist with financial planning and budget forecasting.
- *regulatory compliance and hr*: ensure compliance with government regulations and manage hr activities at a sub-level.
- *external coordination*: supervise and coordinate with external legal support and liaise between operations and it for process improvements.
*qualifications*:
- bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience leading financial operations, with a strong background in taxes, accounting, treasury, and budgeting.
- demonstrated leadership skills with a hands-on, responsible, and autonomous approach.
*location*: santa catarina.
