what we need
the hr business partner / senior hr business partner serves as a strategic advisor to leaders & managers within assigned business functions (e.g., operations in mexico and us), aligning hr initiatives with business objectives. In this role, the senior hr business partner will build strong relationships with leaders & managers, provide expert coaching, manage employee relations, contribute to organizational design, and assist in the development and implementation of internal practices, processes, and policies. The position partners across the hr function to deliver value-added service to leaders, managers, and employees throughout the employee lifecycle. This individual will work with various hr partners, including business partners, coes, and hr systems & operations to execute existing and new hr solutions that support the business' growth plans.
this role requires travel between our two initial sites in silao de la victoria, guanajuato and huamantla, tlaxcala, mexico. The individual must be fluent in both spanish and english.

the hr business partner / senior hr business partner is part of the human resources organization. The human resources organization is responsible for recruitment, administration, compensation, benefits, training & development, performance management and employee relations.
what you'll do
* partners with leaders and managers to understand team objectives and help them deploy actionable plans to drive results.
* leads organizational design initiatives to enable organizational performance, optimize structure, roles, and responsibilities for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
* partners with business leaders to translate data insights into effective hr strategies and initiatives to influence the decision-making process.
* provides ongoing performance management guidance (i.e., coach, counsel, develop, discipline) to managers at different organizational levels.
* manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, objective, thorough investigations.
* works closely with managers and employees to navigate conflict, improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
* maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
* collaborates with hr partners to ensure high employee data quality, analyze metrics, recognize trends, and implement necessary interventions (e.g., programs and policies).
* partners with the hr teams to support recruiting, onboarding, engagement, learning, performance, talent, and rewards processes and programs.
* leads and participates in projects and completes other responsibilities as assigned.
* demonstrates a deep understanding of mexican labor laws, workplace norms, and cultural practices to ensure locally compliant and culturally sensitive hr practices.
* serves as a trusted advisor to leaders on how to effectively manage in a unionized. environment, including interpreting collective bargaining agreements and supporting grievance or negotiation processes as needed.
* partners with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure alignment with labor standards and union requirements unique to the region.
* builds strong relationships with local union representatives and employee committees to foster constructive labor relations and proactively address concerns.
* supports recruiting initiatives in the region, including collaborating with local talent acquisition partners, attending hiring events, and ensuring recruitment strategies align with local market practices.
* supports workforce planning efforts specific to mexico's operations by advising on local talent availability, regulatory considerations, and organizational structure.
* provides coaching and guidance to business leaders on managing diverse teams in the context of regional expectations and cultural dynamics.
* ensures that hr programs and policies are effectively communicated and executed in spanish, in partnership with translation services where needed.
what you'll need
* bachelor's degree in business, human resources management, or a related field.
* minimum of 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years of experience in an hrbp role supporting multiple client groups; transferable experience may be considered.
* high business consulting skills and hr acumen, including advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, and the initiative and ability to influence and partner across organizational levels to drive impact.
* strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws; global experience a plus.
* extensive performance management and employee relations experience.
* demonstrated change management and organizational capabilities.
* excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills
* experience with workday and ms suite with an emphasis on intermediate to advanced excel, powerpoint, and teams skills.
* hybrid schedule.
our environment
* up to 60% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
* the employee is responsible for possessing a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

* the employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms
* the employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
* the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
* must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
* approximately 75% of time will be spent on a construction site with ppe required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness)
* there will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
* you will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground.
* subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° fahrenheit.

* trabajar de manera transversal en rr.hh. para implementar soluciones en reclutamiento, onboarding, desempeño, aprendizaje y compensaciones.
requisitos
* licenciatura en administración, recursos humanos o área relacionada.
* más de 8 años de experiencia en rr.hh., incluyendo mínimo 5 años en un rol de hrbp apoyando múltiples áreas.
* habilidades sólidas de consultoría, resolución de problemas e influencia.
* conocimiento profundo de la legislación laboral mexicana; experiencia en ee.uu. o global deseable.
* amplia experiencia en gestión del desempeño y relaciones laborales.
* experiencia comprobada en gestión del cambio y diseño organizacional.
* bilingüe (español e inglés).
* manejo de workday y ms office (excel, powerpoint, teams).
* disponibilidad para viajar hasta un 60%.
