*position purpose*
the sales representative is responsible for growing and maintaining the relationships between the client and the carriers within their platform and externally, learning the ins and outs of each of their carrier's businesses and determining their freight needs.
sales reps are expected to have high-level conversations with their engaged carriers to help determine new lane opportunities and ways to dedicate as much of their business as possible.
*position responsibilities & duties*
- maintain accurate and up-to-date carrier records
- ensure all database documentation is compliant with industry standards
- maintain complete understanding of markets including seasonal freight
- maintain complete understanding of assigned logistics consultant's book of business including poc's, common lanes, and common trailer types
- oversee transportation in route to ensure timely pick-up and delivery
- communicate with transportation companies to ensure all parts of assigned delivery are completed
- work with assigned team that includes logistics consultant and carrier relations
- collaborate with assigned logistics consultant to track and trace all weekend freight as needed
- maintain carrier information in internal database including location, equipment type, and availability
- oversee all parts of loads in transit through internal software
- continuously seek areas for improved efficiencies
- identify potential issues and utilize critical thinking to determine the best course of action
- proactive shipment tracking and customer alerts for known service issues.

- no logistics experienced required (desirable 6 months - 1 year)
- 6 months - 1 year in customer service
- experience 6 months - 1-year in sales
- c1 - c2 english level
