information systems engineer 2 performs the following functions: designs, analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs and implements applications programs in support of various functional areas such as materials, marketing, accounting, or human resources. Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for lan and/or wan systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunication voice/wire systems.
* support daily operations to make sure to keep business running. and participates in status and it operations meetings.
* performs various functions on it systems, applications, hardware, and networks. Monitors system performance and accuracy. Maintains service level agreements and coding standards.
* acts as an escalation resource for technicians and performs needed changes and upgrades to existing systems.
* performs root cause analysis to identify issues. Provides resolutions on problems of moderate scope.
* installs and upgrades applications, software, and hardware on existing platforms. Performs function, integration, and regression testing on updates and changes.
* performs changes to existing applications and systems to accommodate temporary or permanent customizations.
* develops scripts, queries, tools, and applications for use in administration, automation, performance and capacity monitoring, preventative maintenance, disaster recovery, and security initiatives.
