about the role
in this role, you will lead and grow a business development team focused on outbound prospecting and lead qualification across the americas.
you will be based in mexico city and manage both existing and new team members, playing a pivotal role in building a high-performing, metrics-driven outbound team.
reporting to the bdr director in new york, you will oversee recruiting, training, performance coaching, and contribute to the team's strategy and execution.
this is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with a startup mindset who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments.
responsibilities
· manage and coach a team of business development representatives (bdrs) in mexico.
· recruit, onboard, and scale a high-performing local team.
· own the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, performance management, and career development.
· drive outbound prospecting strategy through calls, emails, and linkedin outreach.
· conduct training sessions and performance reviews to continuously improve team output.
· monitor key metrics and team kpis; develop improvement plans as needed.
· collaborate closely with aes, marketing, and product teams to align pipeline generation.
· contribute to defining and evolving the bdr team’s processes and culture.
· report on team progress to global sales leadership and provide operational feedback.
requirements
· must: 5+ years of experience in b2b sales or business development roles.
· must: minimum 2 full cycles as a bdr team lead, managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
· must: 2+ years of experience leading bdr or outbound sales teams.
· must: fluent english communication (written and verbal).
· proven success in building and scaling bdr teams from scratch.
· strong command of outbound sales tools and tactics (calls, emails, social prospecting).
· experience working in startups or tech companies with a fast-growth trajectory.
· ability to lead operational processes and manage hr matters independently.
· based in mexico city and willing to work on-site.
· comfortable collaborating across time zones with distributed teams.
· familiarity with crm tools such as salesforce or hubspot.
