This role involves managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships to support just-in-time (jit) and lean manufacturing principles in a high-volume automotive maquiladora environment.your role:develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet production demands while minimizing costs.optimize inventory levels to support jit manufacturing and reduce waste.ensure compliance with iatf 16949 and oem customer requirements.lead global sourcing of raw materials, components, and services.negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure cost, quality, and delivery (qcd) targets.manage supplier performance and conduct regular audits (including cross-border suppliers).oversee inbound/outbound logistics, including cross-border transportation (us-mexico).coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and providers to ensure smooth material flow.implement warehouse optimization strategies (fifo, kanban, vmi).collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to align supply with demand.monitor mrp/erp systems (e.g., sap, oracle) to ensure accurate material planning.resolve supply disruptions and implement risk mitigation strategies.identify cost-saving opportunities through localization, tariff optimization (usmca), and process improvements.drive lean/six sigma initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.prepare budgets, forecasts, and kpis (otif, inventory turns, freight costs).what do you need?Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or related field.5+ years in supply chain management, preferably in automotive manufacturing.experience working in a maquiladora or cross-border (us-mexico) supply chain preferred.knowledge of iatf 16949, and usmca trade compliance.proficiency in erp/mrp systems (sap, oracle, qad).strong data analytics (excel, power bi, tableau).understanding of automotive customer portals (gm supplypower, ford, stellantis).bilingual (english/spanish).strong negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.the policy of bcs automotive interface solutions is to extend opportunities to qualified applicants and employees on an equal basis regardless of an individual's age, race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identification, etc.
