main objective
* guarantee accurate, reliable and timely financial information that allows for strategic decision-making and resource control, ensuring compliance with tax and accounting regulations, as well as maintaining competitiveness and efficiency in an intensive and regulated production environment.
primary functions and responsibilities:
the position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective accounting processes. Key responsibilities include:
* taxes, income taxes, deferred taxes,
* mexican statutory profit-sharing calculation (ptu),
* preparation and reconciliation of monthly balance sheet accounts,
* ongoing analysis and monitoring of balance sheet accounts, including aging and variances,
* process optimization, including redesign, documentation, and continuous follow-up,
* compliance with internal policies, procedures, and corporate governance requirements,
* preparation and analysis of operational cost center expenses,
* review and approval of general plant expenditures,
* coordination and support for internal audit, including sox compliance activities,
* coordination and support for external audits,
* review and validation of intercompany transactions and charges,
* utilization of gcrs and other corporate financial platforms,
* preparation of monthly and annual financial statements,
* execution of month-end closing activities and corporate reporting (dcf),
* preparation of journal entries, accruals, provisions, and accounting adjustments,
* payroll accounting and reconciliation,
* compliance with inegi statutory reporting requirements.
