hybrid schedule: in-office collaboration from tuesday through thursday; option to work remotely on monday and friday. Schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.

what you will be doing

the retail marketing specialist is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to increase product sell-in and sell-out. This role bridges marketing and sales to translate brand strategies into trade execution. The ideal candidate understands channel dynamics, shopper behavior, and retail environments.


responsibilities

* develop and implement trade marketing plans for key accounts aligned with brand objectives and sales targets.
* create channel-specific plans to drive visibility and sales across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels.
* create and manage a trade marketing calendar aligned with brand promotions and product launches.
* design and manage in-store promotional campaigns, merchandising strategies, point-of-sale materials and activation strategies.
* ensure retail partners follow brand guidelines and optimize product placement and visibility.
* lead execution of product displays, in-store sampling, and promotional events.
* work closely with the sales team to understand channel needs and develop tailored support.
* equip sales teams with trade tools, promotional calendars, and sell-in materials.
* monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade promotions and in-store initiatives.
* analyze market and sales data to identify trends and insights to inform future strategies.
* manage the trade marketing budget efficiently and ensure cost-effective execution of programs for maximum roi.
* track spending to ensure campaigns remain within financial guidelines.
* collaborate cross-functionally with brand marketing, product, logistics, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution.
* coordinate with third-party vendors, agencies, and merchandisers for timely delivery and execution.


qualifications

* bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in trade marketing, brand management, or sales.
* experience working with major retailers in mexico.
* experience with digital trade tools or retail analytics platforms.
* bilingual – spanish/english (advanced english).


skills

* knowledge of shopper marketing within the consumer goods sector.
* deep understanding of retail dynamics.
* strong analytical skills and proficiency with data tools (excel, market share data, etc.).
* excellent project management and organizational skills.
* strong communication and presentation abilities.
* ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
* high level of organization and attention to detail.


minimum & preferred qualifications

* minimum: bachelor’s degree; 3+ years of relevant experience; experience with main retailers in mexico; experience with digital trade tools or retail analytics; bilingual in spanish/english.
* preferred: experience in latam markets or with multinational companies; retail experience.
