works closely with the purchasing team.major responsibilitiesselects carriers offering the best pricing for shipping or receiving samples to and from corporate, suppliers, or customers with the purchasing team.evaluates and selects carriers during supplier replenishment and supplier‐change processes.manages payments to carriers and addresses their concerns and observations in a timely manner with purchasing team.administers focus solutions, providing support on coo (country of origin), hts classification, and u.s. customs matters.supports international shipments and manages tariff regulations (e.g., section 232, section 301, section 122, ieepa‐related changes) to optimize landed cost.manages the aft service agreement, including scope, performance, and renewal.reviews and reconciles regular and premium shipment invoices for accuracy against negotiated rates.manages and follows up on all freight charge accounts, ensuring proper allocation and timely closure.supports and completes continuous improvement initiatives related to internal and external (int/ext) material movements.participates in apqp (ec/npi) phases related to internal and external material movements.maintains accurate classification, valuation, and origin records to support customs entries and free‐trade‐agreement (e.g., usmca) qualification.required qualification & additional proven experiencebachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field (master's degree preferred)minimum 5 years related experience in purchasing, logistics, freight management, or trade compliance.hands‐on experience with carrier selection, freight invoice audit, and import/export documentation preferred.working knowledge of hts / hs classification and country of origin determination.familiarity with u.s. customs processes and current tariff programs (section 232, section 301, section 122, usmca).
proficiency with erp/logistics systems and trade‐compliance tools (e.g., focus solutions).
