astrazeneca is seeking an ambitious and dedicated *finance business partner* to join our operations team at lomas verdes. This is a key role for talented finance professionals passionate about supporting business growth, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
*responsibilities*:
- * ethical leadership & compliance*: champion ethical conduct and ensure strict adherence to astrazeneca’s financial, ethical, and operational compliance standards.
- * business partnering*: collaborate across departments to proactively anticipate financial needs, prepare business cases, and deliver tailored solutions, including capacity management and kpi tracking.
- * operational performance*: partner closely with stakeholders to support robust financial forecasting, drive process improvement, and promote financial education throughout the site.
- * manufacturing performance*: analyze budget versus actual performance (opex, capex, productivity, provisions), identify cost optimization opportunities, and enhance financial impact of manufacturing activities.
- * continuous improvement & governance*: lead automation of financial and operational reporting, support compliance with financial policies, and help oversee controls for capital expansion projects.
- * collaboration*: work with the gfs-costa rica operations team for accurate monthly close and timely financial reporting.
*essential requirements*:
- * bachelor’s degree* in accounting, finance, industrial engineering, or a related business discipline.
- * 5-7 years* of relevant experience in accounting/finance, with *at least 3 years in manufacturing finance*.
- * strong knowledge* of erp systems (general ledger, cost accounting, project accounting).
- * deep understanding* of manufacturing and the financial management of plant operations.
- * proven capabilities* in business partnering, communication, presentation, and collaboration, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- * language*: fluent english (writing, speaking & understanding)
*desirable requirements*:
- experience in a *global pharmaceutical organization* or solid knowledge of drug development life cycles and commercial dynamics.
- demonstrated success working within *multidisciplinary teams*, with the ability to engage and influence senior managers.
