Pay: 18.42/hr to 29/hr USD or R$53,543 MXN to $80,555 MXN monthly

Lead AI Back-End Engineer

Must Haves:

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot
• 2+ years experience integrating or working alongside AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, or similar LLM-powered automation
• Strong experience building scalable microservices and RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP cloud environments
• Experience as a technical and hands on leader, leading projects, teams, or delivery
• Solid experience with backend databases such as Postgres, NoSQL, or Spanner
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI CD pipelines in agile environments

Plusses:

• Experience with Python, JavaScript, React, or C#
• Familiarity with Kafka, SQS, or other messaging systems
• Exposure to large scale eCommerce or enterprise integration platforms

Day to Day:

The Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend services supporting enterprise platforms across product, inventory, and fulfillment systems. Daily work includes developing microservices in Java and Spring Boot, integrating third party and internal systems, optimizing performance, integrating AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code into development workflows, and ensuring clean, maintainable code output and contributing to CI CD pipelines. He will collaborate with cross functional teams, participate in code reviews, and help drive best practices in architecture, testing, and deployment.
