The associate engineer has the remit as the resident technical resource of relevant factory processes and provides factory site technical support in service of efficient manufacturing operations.
this role partners with r&d, engineering, and commercial to address product quality, process efficiency, and/or quality management conformance issues through leading effective spc analysis and making improvement recommendations.
this role works on site efficiency initiatives, leads and/or supports technical commissioning of local non innovation technical initiatives, including site cogs savings opportunities and implementation, using their leadership competences and functional expertise in process control statistics and six sigma tools and methodologies.
the associate engineer technical services is the technical representative on site factory teams.
as the resident technical resource, this role also partners with r&d innovation teams to receive the handover of product and process commercialization and has the responsibility to lead process training and support l3 fmos escalations at the factory level.
as part of the handover process within supply, this role will build an understanding of run conditions required for new processes brought into the site to determine if optimization opportunities are applicable and to support troubleshooting as it arises.

key responsabilities
- responsible to receive handover as supply representative to streamline r&d driven activities into the manufacturing operations, including site process training to close out the handover process.
- resident resource on statistical process control (spc).
conducts analysis of process and product parameters on new and existing processes in service of efficiency opportunity and optimization.
serves as functional resource for system deployment and maintenance.
- leveraging best practices (eg, six sigma, pdca, visualization, lean tools ), supports maintenance and troubleshooting of processes handed over to the site from r&d.
- partner with r&d, commercial, and factory operations in the implementation of non-innovation technical initiatives to support manufacturing operations.
- remains abreast of new developments in food technologies, packaging, design, category trends and related fields in service of optimization opportunities within site assets.
- a site technical contact for existing processes and fmos escalation.
- they are responsible for driving consistency in quality of our products and the delivery of the factory value leadership programs.
- works with factory innovation teams in coordination of trials for new products, commissioning, validation and start-up planning and execution.
travel may be required to other factories to build capabilities or to train associates on processes where applicable.
