Technical writer
job summary:
the technical writer is responsible for generating disassembly and assembly procedures for the mewp (mobile elevated work platform) and telehandler innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The position researches products, services, technology or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.

- attend product design meetings to determine the impact on manuals
- estimate and schedule development time requirements for projects
- coordinate meetings and activities as needed with engineering, service, marketing, and outside suppliers to gather, refine, and validate information to support assigned tasks and responsibilities
- develop, write, and revise operation manual, service manual, kit instruction, and bulletin content using publishing and illustrating software, which adheres to documentation guidelines and templates
- ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and other related engineering design and manufacturing documentation as required
- review applicable change notices (cns) and determine actions needed
- ensure work is kept to schedule, style, and quality
- coordinate proofing of final copy before release
- assist and/or train subordinate technical writers as needed
- oversee others on assigned projects as required
- assist internal and external customers in the use of operator and service manuals
- write, create, and edit operation, service, maintenance manuals, and service bulletins
- interact with global business entities.

qualifications
- bachelor's degree or equivalent experience: engineer.
- fluent in english/spanish
- 2-7 plus years of experience in technical writing experience preferably in the mewp/telehandler industry or manufacturing.
- competencies: technical writing, ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Mechanically inclined.
