as a supplier quality specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of powertrain systems by monitoring supplier performance, validating new products, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
key responsibilities:
1. monitor and evaluate supplier performance in accordance with iatf 16949 regulations and company/client-specific requirements.
2. validate and approve new products, changes to engineering or processes related to suppliers.
3. contribute to supplier development initiatives for improved quality and efficiency.
essential skills and qualifications:
* 5 years of experience in the automotive industry with expertise in quality management.
* 3 years of experience as a quality engineer or development engineer for suppliers with strong knowledge of iatf 16949 and quality systems.
* 1 year of experience in administration of quality management systems and leadership roles.
technical skills:
* expertise in iatf 16949, apqp/control plan, spc/msa, gd&t advanced, ppap, amef, problem solving/shainin, procesos especiales cqi9/11/15, sap qm, imds system, minitab, auditor interno iso/ts, effective communication/negotiation.
* intermediate level in client requirements for the automotive industry (qsb, q1, manufacturing basics, vda, anpqp), metalografía, auditor interno iso/ts, lean mfg, kaizen, six sigma, auditor leader, mmog/le, cqi-14.
* basic level in cqi-5 bos, iso/iec 17021, and iatf rules, noise, vibration & harshness, iso/iec 17025.
