Position summary:
under supervision of a manager, the salesforce systems administrator, is part of the team responsible for providing ongoing business support for issues, data and configuration updates, and system enhancements within salesforce. The systems administrator will work with other team members, service leaders, sales teams and sales leadership to ensure the system is working as it should and is meeting the business’ needs. The systems administrator is responsible for systems administration, custom development, standard and ad-hoc reporting, analysis and insights, associate training and project management of system design, testing and implementation.
the systems administrator is often involved in areas such as acquisition integrations, sales kpis, and special projects as assigned. The systems administrator may also work with system implementers & support partners (third parties) and sales teams during deployments, training, and post-launch support.
primary accountabilities:
design, code, unit test, system test, performance test, debug, implement, and support the applications and integrations as required
• leverage apis and web-based interfaces utilizing apex code and web services
• review and provide feedback on technical designs
• conduct code and declarative configuration reviews
identify options for potential solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability; determine nature and scope of changes to existing applications for enhancements and other changes
• create estimates for software development projects based on business requirements
• conduct vendor analysis and proof-of-concepts/prototypes for new technologies/solutions
• conceptualize, design and administer system structure and user interface changes
• self-educate to maintain system certifications and proactively pursue additional relevant certifications functions as tier 2 support contact with the ability to handle advanced requests and site administration changes; escalating cases to a senior associate when needed
• play a role in the development and execution of integration plans for new acquisitions; designs the data migration strategy and performs data integration analysis and cleanup
• lead efforts to maintain system wide data cleanliness for accurate reporting
manage special projects, analysis, processes and assignments between sales and other departments (operations, marketing,
finance, etc.)
required qualifications:
• bachelors’ degree, required (technical or business preferred)
3-6 years of work experience in crm systems and sales, or an equivalent combination of training and experience required to complete the essential functions/job responsibilities of this position
• certifications needed: salesforce administrator, advanced administrator
• certifications preferred: platform app builder, cpq specialist and salesforce consultant
• working knowledge of clm tools such as docusign, conga composer, conga contracts for salesforce and conga sign
• familiar, at a high level, with apex and visualforce development languages
solid understanding of the salesforce product suite, including sales cloud, service cloud, experience cloud, cpq, quip, pardot, einstein analytics (tableau crm), and field service lightning, as well as the force.com platform
• experience with salesforce configuration, including flow, process builder, workflows, validation rules, and security controls
• experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing salesforce system and functional designs experience in documenting current state business processes and system designs using process flow diagram tools, sequence diagrams, etc. as well as making recommendations for future state improved processes and system designs
• experience with lightning, visualforce, apex controllers, triggers, batch jobs and standard salesforce components. Some understanding of the salesforce.com data model and how and when to create custom objects vs. using salesforce out-
of-the-box functionality
• experience with release management and devops in salesforce environments
• experience with installing, managing, and using various appexchange packages
• knowledge of salesforce and cpq administration
• intermediate knowledge of microsoft office suite (word, powerpoint, with emphasis on excel)
• g-suite experience (preferred)
• project management experience, a plus
