job summary
the intern jabil lean coach will develop lean expertise through an immersive, 6-9 months training program which provides significant exposure to lean six sigma projects and jabil’s deployment approach. Through this program, the associate lean coach will gain exposure across the company. The associate lean coach position is intended to be an entry point into jabil. After the training period, the intern lean coach will be responsible for seeking out a new role within the organization, as business need and performance warrants.
essential duties and responsibilities
* supporting activities:
o lead and support specific jabil continuous improvement activities.
o support the lean maturity assessment process.
o support and lead various kaizen events.
o the lean trainee will gain a deep insight into the value stream transformation model by learning and applying lean principles, systems and tools in value stream mapping sessions and kaizen events.
o may perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
education and development
* complete the bronze certification coursework.
* participate in jabil’s lean maturity assessment and silver certification program.
