Assistant manufacturing controller
as an assistant manufacturing controller, your role will focus on overseeing accounting and financial operations for manufacturing business units, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and effective financial planning to support operational excellence.
Your responsibilities
manage the tactical execution of short- and long-term financial objectives, with direct accountability for costs, methods, and staffing
direct routine financial and accounting close processes, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timeliness
provide key contributions to the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
support tax operations, including the preparation of required tax documentation
develop and recommend economic and financial objectives for assigned business units
facilitate and oversee internal, external, and compliance audits
maintain accounting process controls through process reviews, internal control testing, and business process analysis
ensure compliance with company policies, gaap, sarbanes‑oxley (sox), and other regulatory requirements
provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports in partnership with human resources
provide technical accounting and financial guidance
support cross‑functional projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
your profile
bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree desirable
6–8 years of related accounting or finance experience
3+ years of supervisory or project/program management experience preferred
strong proficiency in microsoft office applications (word, excel, email)
experience working with erp systems such as oracle, sap, or similar
strong working knowledge of gaap
detail‑oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences
excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels
