Logistics specialist
location: puerta de hierro, guadalajara
schedule: monday to friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
position objective
the logistics specialist is responsible for safely, accurately, and efficiently supporting scoular's national and international transportation needs. This role ensures smooth coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, resolves daily operational issues, and provides high-quality service to customers, suppliers, and transportation partners.
key responsibilitiesinternational logistics operations
* coordinate multiple transportation modes, including ocean, trucking/drayage, and rail services.
* manage container bookings and align trucking and transloading services.
* monitor shipments, proactively identify risks, and resolve operational issues.
* maintain daily communication with carriers, logistics partners, and internal facilities.
export procedures & documentation
* support export processes and customs clearance activities.
* prepare and verify transportation documentation, including rail billing and freight invoices.
* ensure proper tracking and oversight of logistics equipment (containers, trucks, etc.).
customer & supplier management
* provide excellent customer service through timely updates and follow-up on shipments.
* communicate daily with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to recover information and solve problems.
* conduct soft commercial activities, such as outreach calls to new clients and vendors.
administrative & analytical support
* assist with rate analysis, cost verification, and logistics performance reporting.
* prepare and maintain accurate operational and administrative reports.
* prioritize workflow, manage multiple tasks, and ensure high levels of organization and efficiency.
requirements
* minimum 3 years of experience in international logistics.
* strong knowledge of international transportation, export procedures, and carrier coordination.
* advanced english (daily communication required).
* proficient in ms office, particularly word and excel.
* strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail.
* experience in customer management and operational follow-up.
* high sense of responsibility, problem-solving, and results orientation.
