job overview
the professional services specialist is a highly trained product expert responsible for end‑to‑end product deployment.
responsibilities
* review business and technical requirements with customers, providing solutions that best address their needs.
* write, review, and test detailed design documents, performing configuration and customization of code.
* provide technical support during all project phases and advise customer technical personnel on coding practices, design best practices, product features, hardware and deployment architecture, application and third‑party configuration, tuning, and ongoing production monitoring.
* provide estimates, lead the project, develop customizations, and write demo scripts/storyboards.
* install and configure products in internal labs (st), customer labs (uat/performance), and customer production environments.
* integrate amdocs products with third‑party applications within commercial customer networks.
* create and deliver customized functional training to customers and internal teams.
* oversee end‑to‑end non‑functional/performance testing, including test design, scenario implementation, analysis, and result reporting.
* perform connectivity validation of system components, review results with the customer and their vendors, and provide technical input to project status reporting.
* lead and screen all defects/incidents during the project, directing them to the relevant owner and following up on their handling.
qualifications
* broad technical experience in software and/or hardware engineering: scripting, configuration, tuning, networking, and installation.
* experience communicating and negotiating with customer personnel and management, up to the cxo level.
* extensive experience in development, including work in agile development environments.
* progressive experience delivering and/or supporting complex software solutions and product implementations.
* knowledge of telco networks, platforms, standards, and business processes.
* bachelor's degree (4‑year program) in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
