The shipping and logistics coordinator with woodtech / pair will status orders, create packing lists, ship tags, coordinate with vendors, arrange parcel, ltl and ftl shipments as well as international and airfreight.
this position requires a high attention to detail, previous freight experience helpful and an ability to manage multiple projects at varying stages of progress.
the coordinator is responsible for inventory, warehouse management, freight, logistics, coordinating installations and post-installation service.
*responsibilities*:
- quotes, arranges, tracks and communicates all shipping and logistic aspects
- ensuring all product for a specific project ships to the client on schedule
- freight claims and working with operations to replace product lost or damaged in shipping
- tracking and reducing freight costs while maintaining quality shipping service
- quoting freight to ensure prices quoted are aligned with costs to avoid potential margin erosion
- monitors order status: track production, shipping and receiving.
acknowledge and communicate scheduling with customers.
- collaborates warehouse personnel to schedule deliveries
- request invoices at time of shipment
*qualifications*:
- associate's (a.a.) Degree from a two-year college or university, or minimum 2 years of logistics and operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- prior knowledge of office furniture a plus
- thorough knowledge of systems products a plus
- high level of experience working with scheduling software and/or ability to quickly master internal computer operating systems
- exceptional customer service skills with ability to provide friendly, professional service to one workplace staff and clients
- experience with oracle would is a plus
- bilingual: proficient in english for business communication
regularly works with a team and may work alone at times.
