Special processes manufacturing engineer (cut, sew and wrap) description: facilitate csw objectives and activities at the plant with an emphasis on wrapping. Serve as the csw responsible mechanical engineering representative on site at imo, reporting to the troy/vandalia csw supervisor. Position requirements evaluate design, manufacturing and equipment feasibility for sewing, hand wrapping and pre‑fixing processes. Assist in developing pattern designs for quality sewn and wrapped parts. Provide/generate specifications for equipment and tooling used for quoting and follow pdp4 process. Manage scrap and ensure all equipment meets ftq and oee requirements. Mechanical/machine design experience. Strong mechanical skills and desire for hands‑on activities. Work effectively in a team atmosphere; self‑motivated and self‑directed. Hands‑on experience with sewing and wrapping processes. Creative problem solver. Microsoft office proficiency: outlook, excel, powerpoint, word, project & auto‑cad, vis‑view, unigraphics or equivalent. Plex, locals systems. Ability to travel. English – advanced level. Education & experience strong tooling/equipment and process troubleshooting skills, especially in sewing and hand wrapping. 4‑5 years of experience. Advanced english proficiency.
