*responsibilities*:
- analyze business and functional requirements to design, develop, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases, ensuring complete test coverage across functional, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
- interpret complex business rules and processes to validate system behavior and ensure alignment with defined requirements.
- interview and extract test scenarios from technical teams and business users - translating the scenarios into test cases.
- execute manual test cases with accuracy and attention to detail, documenting results and identifying any deviations.
- record, track, and manage defects in a structured manner using established defect tracking tools.
- participate actively in defect triage meetings, clearly articulating issues, their impact, and potential root causes to development and product stakeholders.
- utilize test management tools—preferably practitest—to organize test cycles and maintain traceability throughout the testing lifecycle.
- support user acceptance testing (uat) by assisting business users in reproducing issues and providing insights into functional behaviors.
- assist in test automation efforts to support test coverage expansion.
*knowledge & experience required*
- proven ability to write detailed, structured, and traceable test cases based on business and functional requirements.
- strong understanding of complex business processes and workflows.
- demonstrated experience in defect documentation and triage, with the ability to effectively communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- proficiency with test management tools; practitest experience is strongly preferred.
- strong experience with jira or other defect tracking tools.
- proficient in agile / scrum environments
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
- (preferred) understanding of automation testing concepts and tools; ability to collaborate effectively with other sdets on the team.
- (preferred) experience with ai testing tools such as (testsigma, copado, functionalize)
pay: $40,* - $60,* per month
