a proactive and detail-oriented individual is required to work in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to work autonomously, and have excellent communication skills.

* monitor daily incoming customer demand via edi and manage daily customer shipments and order entry into sap for non-edi customers.
* maintain customer master data and material master data in sap.
* coordinate new product introductions with the manufacturing plant/oem and warehouse to meet customer material requirements and comply with customer specifications.
* manage customer communication regarding demand changes, special delivery requirements, and urgent solutions as necessary; identify customer increases and provide recovery plans after agreement with the manufacturing plant/oem.
* be available outside of normal working hours for customer emergencies.
* monitor missed shipments and work with the manufacturing plan or supplier to provide a recovery plan to the customer.
* work with customer logistics contacts to arrange shipments according to each customer's routing instructions, meeting outbound delivery performance and premium freight goals.

* excellent excel skills using formulas, charts, pivot tables, macros, and waterfalls.
* microsoft office skills, including powerpoint, word, excel, and outlook.
* experience with sap modules mm, sd, wm, and reporting (bi).
* data-driven analytical thinking with strong organizational and planning skills.
* strong verbal and written communication skills when interacting with internal and external customers.
* proactive and self-driven, willing to take on additional responsibilities.
* ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks by priority.

education and experience

* bachelor's degree required, preferably in engineering or business.
* 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with planning/buying experience.
* 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry preferred.
* 3+ years of customer interface experience managing multilevel accounts.
* experience with quality systems: iso 9001, iso 14001, and iatf.
