what you’ll do
the commercial planning sr. Manager will be responsible for supporting multiple category teams in developing and executing effective financial plans that align with the company's portfolio strategy. They will ensure consistency in planning processes, analyze business trends and performance, and provide insight on key inputs used in inventory and margin forecasts. Additionally, they support the supplier alignment process providing the data and analytical support needed to ensure surety of supply, while providing supervision and development opportunities for associates.

you’ll make an impact by…
* develops and implements the category team's financial strategy by ensuring alignment with the portfolio strategy; attending meetings with suppliers; modeling, analyzing, and evaluating the impact of key variables on category performance and risk exposure; developing and presenting options to address issues in financial performance; reviewing and analyzing financial results of modular changes; identifying discrepancies in financial results; and ensuring modular assortment mix aligns with financial goals of the category.
* supports the sourcing team through the supplier alignment process. Collaborates with merchants and sourcing to understand the key needs and volume demands by market. Manages the execution of the supplier bid process, partnering with key support functions to ensure the right information is developed to support purchasing decisions.
* utilizes technical and analytical skill to support the day to day category performance of sourcing programs. Performs ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives and develops tools and processes to support the field sourcing teams in managing supplier and commodity performance. Provides analytical and project management support to key departmental and category strategies and projects.
* drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
* promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the open door policy.
* ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
