since 2008, yara has played an important role in mexico. Given the significance of this market, we aim to add talented professionals to our team to continue strengthening our regional presence. Currently, we are seeking a hesq supervisor.
responsibilities
* develop and manage safety plans and procedures in collaboration with local operations teams and managers, contributing to comprehensive hesq risk management for the yara site.
* ensure the implementation of the safe by choice program and monitor its progress.
* ensure full understanding, communication, and adherence to yara’s golden rules and safety management principles for ysm sites.
* support compliance with, and enforcement of, all relevant hesq procedures, safe systems of work, yara tops & hops, and regulatory requirements.
* participate in risk assessments and process safety evaluations.
* manage changes carefully, ensuring all modifications are considered within the context of change management protocols.
* enforce the correct use of ppe, safety equipment, and workwear.
* report and document safety incidents, accidents, environmental breaches, or near-misses immediately.
* conduct safety walks and wocs regularly and participate in safety audits or inspections as required.
profile
* degree in engineering, hesq, or a relevant field; specific hesq experience required.
* minimum of 3 years of hesq experience.
* strong teamwork, ethical work practices, and clear communication skills.
* creativity and a proactive safety culture development mindset.
* knowledge of health and safety legislation.
* understanding of yara’s global strategy and processes.
* effective safety training facilitation skills.
