for our robots software development teams, located in guadalajara, mexico, supporting our global teams, we are looking for a high-potential software engineer to develop and maintain the operating systems used on our mobile robots
responsibilities
* develop, maintain, and test custom linux operating system
* contribute to other software-related engineering activities such as build systems, documentation, validation and verification
* contribute to customer support as it relates to software bugs and new feature development
* contribute to the development of automated test frameworks
job requirements
* bs or higher in computer science, electrical computer engineering, or similar
* 3 or more years of software development experience for linux systems
* experience creating and verifying software requirements.
* linux, python, docker and git proficiency
* basic level of proficiency with wired and wireless networking (802.11)
nice to have
* experience with yocto, pytest, jenkins
* previous experience with cybersecurity and/or functional safety standards: iec 62443, iec 61508, iso 13849, etc. or experience developing software for regulated medical or aviation applications
* previous experience with robotics and/or electrical engineering
* advanced level of proficiency with wired and wireless networking (802.11)
