*data analyst*
*role purpose*:
*main activities*:
- manage and resolve hr-related data cases efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely responses. (60% of the role)
- conduct ad-hoc analytics to provide actionable insights on workforce trends, employee engagement, and other hr metrics.
- have full understanding of people dashboards and reports within powerbi, excel, sql, r, or python to utilise data effectively.
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
- support data extraction and manipulation from cloud databases, with a preference for experience in oracle, databricks, or similar platforms.
- contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics processes and tools.
- work within an agile environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
*requirements*:
- bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology/ mathematics/ statistics/ economics/ actuarial science or equivalent will be preferred.
- strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools like excel, sql, python, or r.
- experience with data visualization platforms such as tableau, power bi, or similar tools.
- exposure to azure services, including azure data factory, azure sql database, and azure machine learning is preferred.
- good understanding of data modelling and database management.
- experience in interrogating and interpreting data.
- good understanding of hr operations, dashboards, and compliance requirements relevant to hr data.
- knowledge of data privacy laws and data governance standards specific to the hr data.
- excellent communication skills to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for banking leadership.
- ability to handle sensitive and personnel data with confidentiality and integrity.
- strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially in a regulated environment.
- collaborative mindset to work effectively with hr, compliance, risk management, and other banking teams.
- pro-active, resilient, and tenacious with focus on execution and delivery.
