the demand manager will be responsible for the overall demand planning process for all products within the vsd division, supporting multiple business units. The product portfolio is broad, requiring someone with strong experience managing demand across diverse products and familiarity with various forecasting methods.
you make an impact by:
* examining historical shipments, utilizing statistical forecast tools, collecting forecast input from sales, and documenting assumptions.
* analyzing marketing and category trends, including consumption, and applying statistical forecast tools.
* gathering forecast input from marketing to develop forecasts by item, week, customer, and geography where applicable.
* maintaining or training others to maintain demand forecasts for all product lines.
* tracking and reporting actual demand versus forecast, eliminating bias, and improving forecast accuracy.
* adjusting forecasts or recommending adjustments through demand cycles.
* completing required education and training, and participating in the implementation of new forecasting software.
* enhancing technical skills in forecasting tools and creating accurate forecasts.
* serving as the first contact for sales and customer marketing regarding variances outside tolerance and gathering assumptions used in forecasts.
* collaborating with marketing or sales leadership to identify forecast assumptions that impact accuracy and effectiveness.
skills you bring:
* bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain, or equivalent experience.
* 5+ years of relevant experience in a global supply chain organization with a minimum of $200m annual demand planning responsibility.
* experience in demand planning across multiple products.
* cpim certification is highly preferred.
* sap proficiency is highly preferred.
* proficiency in c-suite level presentation and communication.
