Work shift & schedule
day shift. Full‑time position.
Responsibilities
clean and disinfect the employee cafeteria: mop floors, wash and shake tables and chairs, clean counters, walls, microwaves, and the exterior of vending machines and refrigerators; remove cabinet shelves, moldings, and other food‑consumption areas.
Clean, sweep, and shake all clean rooms, the warehouse, door entries, and other areas to ensure a tidy workplace.
Dust office areas, including security booths; clean windows and the interior and exterior of glass doors throughout the facilities.
Clean and disinfect bathrooms, ensuring supplies and paper products are stored properly.
Clean and stock changing areas; replenish supplies in all areas as needed.
Assist the recycling program by collecting and disposing of aluminum, paper, and cardboard.
Operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately; vacuum carpet and hard‑surface areas, remove carpet stains, and mop floors.
Assist in organizing meetings, training sessions, and special events.
Perform regular checklists for cleanroom cleaning in compliance with regulations.
Perform other tasks and duties as needed.
Physical & environmental requirements
lift up to 50 lbs (22 kg) as required.
Strengthen writing and communication skills.
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the majority of the shift; climb stairs; bend; reach; bend, kneel, crawl; speak and/or listen.
Regular use of hands to touch, manipulate, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Visual acuity, reading, peripheral vision, and field of vision.
Exposure to noise and chemical vapors may occur.
Minimum qualifications
basic reading, writing, and simple arithmetic skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to perform assigned tasks.
Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with coworkers.
Preferred qualifications
three to six months of experience as a custodian or facilities cleaner.
High school equivalency certificate.
Competencies
equipment operation and maintenance.
Cleaning processes.
Documentation processes.
