What's the role?:
this role is responsible for leading a large portfolio consisting of 300-500 associates under the platform foundation's data operations team and will report directly to the 'vp data operations'. Being in the midst of a transformation, the role is responsible to drive and orchestrate activities that enable growth, achieve operational excellence and install a unique global culture that results in exceptional employee engagement in line with the objectives of the here vision and strategy.
this role will also be a site leader for the region and as a site leader you would be the face for the location & would represent here to employees and public. As a chief engagement officer for the region, your role would be responsible to promote & connect local employees to here strategy and goals, helping local employees achieve success while maintaining a culture of employee inclusiveness, interaction, recognition and innovation.
this role will utilize professional program management techniques, quantify risk, mitigate impact and manage the key planning activities to ensure timely completion of scope. This role will be a member of the leon data operations leadership team and will be expected to contribute to overall development of center by taking a leadership role in driving special division level projects.. In addition, this role is responsible for staying aware of all key trends in technology (internally and externally) and best-in-class techniques to define and implement forward capabilities keeping pace with changing business dynamics.
*main responsibility areas*
- support short and long-term organizational goals and align/prioritize to meet company objectives around quality, scalability, productivity, cost management, talent management and speed of execution.
- creating and managing the best operating environment for the successful execution of identified objectives of a program.
- collaborate with key stakeholders within and outside leon data operations to achieve strategic and operational goals and objectives.
- major program elements include the definition and implementation of a clear governance model for program decisions, the creation of program roadmap aligned to overall program objectives and buy-in and agreement to program plans by key stakeholders and sponsors.
- guided by organization and sub-group business plans, impacts the area results by supporting and funding of projects, products, services and/or technologies.
- persuades managers and leaders to take action and/or negotiates with external partners/vendors/customers.
- applies knowledge of key business drivers and the factors that maximize area performance.
- develop impact/risk assessments and operational strategies for leon data operations.
- imbibe a unique global culture that results in exceptional employee engagement.
- lead and drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives such as lean and six sigma to achieve best-in-class cost, quality and operational performance
- accountable for operational expense budgets for assigned teams/programs.
- hire, retain and develop workforce to meet with organization's talent needs. Create an engaging environment that is conducive to attracting the best talent and keeping it motivated. Build pride and enhance employee morale.
- manage data operations program managers and project managers, including work assignments and prioritization, ensuring timely and accurate completion of work to achieve corporate, divisional and vertical objectives.
who are you?:
12+ years of progressive work experience in business process management, operations, or large-scale data operations environments experience with a bachelor's degree; or 10+ years and a master's degree; or a phd with 8+ years experience; or
equivalent experience.
- experience working in a high-paced growth environment.
- experience in managing change and leading transformation initiatives.
- experience in leading, developing and managing large teams.
- understanding of quality and continuous improvement (experience of lean / six sigma preferred)
- inclination and experience in recruiting and developing talent.
- understanding of technology (e.g. database, gis, software, it) and work process flows.
- any graduate, be, b.tech from a reputed college. Mba is desirable.
- demonstrated people leadership capabilities (coaching, talent management and development).
- project management professional certification preferred; lean, six sigma training or certification a plus.
- experience and sound understanding of operations, operations strategies, or supply chain operation development/execution a plus.
- creative, visionary, strategic and analytical thinking.
- excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written) working with internal and external stakeholders.
- global travel as required.
