where the chemistry happens:
we seek a qualified, motivated industry sales specialist in mexico through accelerated addition of new customers and growth of our share of business within existing customers. The industry sales specialist will manage the overall business objectives, goals, strategies of selected strategic accounts within the segments they support. The industry sales specialist will be ensuring strategic and tactical objectives are achieved for the selected customers (market segments). This position will establish and (support) favorable customer relations at all customer levels for their respect industrial segment assignments. The industry sales specialist will spend most of the time with the (working with) customers within their selective markets to support the purchasing and engineering design level teams to assist in the technology design of existing and future production opportunities.

* responsible for properly mapping customer corporate key contacts utilizing target account selling best practices.
* support the negotiation and closing of sales deals with the customer(s)

* prepare contracts within the given authorization framework
* resolve and manage customer service requests
* serve as a liaison between account(s) and all chemetall departments
* maintain close business relationships with key decision makers
* collaborate on account target setting with na key industry sales manager
* provide customer throughput / production information to key industry sales manager to help determine monthly segment sales forecast.
* initiate innovation discussions with key customers (what would the customer or industry like to see) and report back to regional technical service, na key industry sales manager and regional marketing.
* continuously analyze and keep track of sales and identify up-/cross-selling opportunities within the account using salesforce
* uncover and offer new products tailored to the customer’s needs
* provide value-added services to industry accounts by conducting / coordinating annual audits with regional technical specialist.
* conduct / coordinate with field sales annual business reviews with key customers, according to basf / chemetall best practice guidelines.
* keep track of competitors’ offers and actions, initiate counteractions
* engage clients with marketing & communication initiatives, e.g., events
ingredients for success:
* minimum of 5 years of successful experience in developing new customers and retaining existing customers in the industry.
* experience in managing large, multinational, multimillion-dollar accounts.
* university degree: chemistry, engineering or business administration is preferred.
* high level of efficiency in the sales process.

* fluent in spanish and english language
