*purpose*:
completes tasks for the support function of the production equipment repair & maintenance unit, and follows administrative processes ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
Helps administer the technical implementation, modification and ongoing analysis of the quality, safety and efficiency of discrete production of unit-based items assembled from component parts.
Helps interpret key data points collaborating with manufacturing engineers to develop repair and maintenance schematics for the rollout of new and improved repair and maintenance processes, tools and equipment.
Checks regular status on operational control standards and testing equipment to assess conformance with engineering specifications, including test apparatus of raw materials, parts, components, finished items and packaging.

*you will be responsible for*:
- is responsible for the adjustments/setups of the manufacturing equipment and their corresponding documentation.
- supports manufacturing with equipment and machinery repair on time.
- performs the planned activities of preventive and corrective maintenance according to the approved methods and documentation.
- participates in the transfer of new production lines.
- promotes recommendations and technical support in new projects and oac.
- monitors all the safety policies of the company and other safety precautions within the place of work.
- complies with the safety policies and procedures.
- ensures the compliance with the responsibilities of the environmental management systems (ems).
- follows the convenient policies of management of information records of j&j and of the campus, records retention program, training and education, document retention notices, record cleaning, inactive records and information management, vital records and if applicable, also to suppliers.
- knows the quotation process of equipment and fixtures and monitoring of the generation of equipment purchase orders.
- knows the installation and validation process of the equipment required in the area assigned under the established guidelines.
- enters his/her daily tasks in ecmms or in the system assigned for that purpose.
- responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
- responsible for following all company guidelines related to health, safety and environmental practices as applicable.
- for those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all company guidelines related to health, safety and environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
- responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations, policies, and procedures

*qualifications / requirements*:
- knowledge and skills to satisfactorily develop the responsibilities of the position of 8 to 10+ years of experience preferably related to the position.
- bilingual; spanish/english preferably.
- knowledge of gmps (good manufacturing practices) / iso preferably.
- knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation, calibration procedures and quality systems preferably.
- computer skills.
- knowledge of maximo system (computer system for maintenance management).
- knowledge of the campus information systems preferably.
