We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly experienced *senior accountant* to join our accounting team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.the person in this position is primarily responsible for performing daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly general accounting activities for light and wonder entities. This includes (but is not limited to) processing transactions into the system such as intercompany, cost, inventory and gl records (accruals, reclassifications, taxes etc), preparing, maintaining and reconciling assigned accounts in compliance with governmental and census reporting while being in accordance with the framework and guidance of the generally accepted accounting principles (gaap), as well as local compliance.*essential job functions for accounting & reporting:* preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with u.s. Gaap, sec guidelines, and company policies.* prepare monthly reconciliation of bs accounts in blackline* assisting with audit requests* proposing and implementing approved process changes to drive automation and scalability.* supporting acquisition integration.* creating, reviewing, and maintaining audit support* perform analysis and provide explanation of the monthly/quarterly variations of some of the balance sheet and p&l accounts* complete & submit, monthly and quarterly reconciliations & tasks in blackline* maintain sox controls according to the corporate’s policy* in charge of keeping local accounting books updated* provide all information and supporting details requested by management* attend auditors’ requests (internal, external and sox auditors), all requests from outsourcing and legal firms.* coordinate and follow up all the processes to ensure the accounting records for accounts prolease, royalties, fixed assets, expense accounts, according to local and us gaaps*qualifications* minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory position in accounting.* account reconciliation experience of balance sheet* hands on computer experience (excel intermediate - advanced)* strong knowledge of accounting principles, and financial reporting.* excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.* erp’s: oracle, navision (preferably)*education:* bachelor’s degree in accounting* master´s degree in accounting or related is preferred*knowledge, skills, & abilities:* excellent verbal and written communication skills* must have good computer skills and knowledge* must have experience with spreadsheet software* must be flexible on work schedule to meet defined goals within peak periods* must be able to team work* strong communication and interpersonal skills.* ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.*light and wonder inc its affiliates (collectively, “lnw”) are engaged in highly regulated gaming and lottery businesses.
