we are seeking an authentic and influential professional to become the face of the world's most awarded single malt scotch whisky in mexico.
as a hybrid, full‑time position, the single malts brand ambassador will build portfolio prestige, provide education, and support sales‑driving activities for glenfiddich and the balvenie in mexico.
designated to form educational and lasting relationships with influential consumers, industry trade (on & off), and luxury media, you will leverage existing relationships as an expert in the field.
key responsibilities
what you can expect:
- brand education & trade advocacy
- expert consultant: establish yourself as a credible expert on the category, brand and local market, enrolling audiences through storytelling.
- relationship building: cultivate and nurture long‑lasting relationships with hospitality professionals, key bartenders, account proprietors, and industry opinion leaders to inspire advocacy.
- training & support: provide trade education and staff training on the core range and high‑end expressions, ensuring the brand is prominent and relevant within the channel.
- commercial partnership: collaborate with the commercial/sales teams to identify and nurture key accounts, supporting the placement and "pull through" of products with agreed kpis.
- luxury consumer engagement
- high net worth focus: identify and build relationships with influential consumers, particularly the “high net worth” (hnw) demographic and collectors at luxury events.
- experiential marketing: recommend and be part of the brand experiences (live or virtual) that educate consumers on the brand lifestyle and generate buzz.
- ambassadorship: act as the spokesperson and educator at consumer events, representing the brand in a manner consistent with its luxury positioning.
- media, pr, & digital presence
- media relations: forge relationships with national and regional journalists, particularly in the luxury arena, and create opportunities for interviews, tastings, and distillery trips.
- social media: establish and nurture a credible social media presence that aligns with the brand's luxury positioning, utilizing content creation skills to grow your network.
- market knowledge: collect market and competitive inputs to share with the brand/sales team acting as a source of local market knowledge.
- compliance: complete all internal administrative duties and reports in compliance with company practices and policies.
qualifications
- strong background in spirits with a preference for 5+ years of significant experience as a brand ambassador.
- bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or communications is preferred.
- intermediate to advanced english proficiency (written and spoken) required.
- hospitality‑forward mindset with experience or knowledge in luxury goods.
- excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to present and tell compelling stories.
- high energy and results‑focused approach, with enthusiasm for the organization.
- commitment to social responsibility in all activities.
- self‑starter with entrepreneurial spirit, capable of multitasking and managing a travel schedule.
- strong influencing and partnering abilities within a team structure.
operational requirements
hybrid role: mexico city‑based, with office attendance weekly. Flexible schedule to accommodate evening events. Up to 25% travel within mexico; valid passport required for occasional international travel.
preferred qualifications
- previous experience as a brand ambassador, sommelier, on‑trade promoter, or similar role.
- social media savvy: proficiency in platforms and content creation.
