we are hiring a senior site reliability engineer to work on next-generation operations at scale, using python infra-as-code, from bare metal to containers and applications. Our goal is to perfect enterprise infrastructure devops.
this role involves managing hundreds of private cloud, kubernetes, and application clusters across physical and public cloud environments, advancing automation through a universal operator pattern and model-driven operations. We believe automation is a software engineering problem, driven by metrics and code, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the full stack, from networking and kernel to serverless and open source applications.
location: globally remote role
the role entails:
1. applying python software-engineering skills to cloud operations.
2. practicing devsecops across infrastructure and applications.
3. architecting and managing openstack, kubernetes, and software-defined storage.
4. enabling devsecops for applications on this infrastructure.
requirements include:
1. degree in software engineering or computer science.
2. experience with linux, including networking and storage.
3. expertise in python software development.
4. operational experience in a high-pressure environment.
5. strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
6. ability to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks.
preferred skills:
1. experience with openstack or kubernetes deployment/operations.
2. familiarity with public or private cloud management.
