Our client, a leading general automotive industry supplier has requested us to search for a plant controller for one of their manufacturing facilities in reynosa, tamps.
job description
* manage the functions of cost accounting, general ledger, tax accounting, and cash management.
* oversee payroll accounting and payment of social security, housing fund and retirement fund, including making reports related taxes.
* keep the accounts and ledgers systems up to date to provide timely and truthful account balances and information about operations results.
* prepare financial reports required by the administration and for tax authorities.
* coordinate and assist in the preparation and analysis of annual operating budget of the plant. Prepare/assist in the preparation of periodic financial forecasts, including analysis and comparison to budget and/or previous forecasts.
* prepare or assist with the preparation of income tax compliance and reporting, ensuring they are prepared accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
* ensure that the amount of tax payable is minimized by taking all legal deductions and exemptions allowed, and keep abreast of any changes in tax laws.
* develop systems and procedures to streamline operations, improve controls and increase the timeliness and accuracy of management of both financial and non-financial information.
* consult with all levels of management of the plant to provide expertise and financial reviews.
* coordinate activities of consultants and external audits, as well as with the legal advisor to the company in relation to general corporate matters when needed.
* monitor the cost accounting system, including review of inventory by location, changes in work orders, costs and expenses by cost centers.
requisites
* bachelor's degree plus certification as a cpa advanced english (technical writing skills and reading) 8 years in similar position in areas of finances/accounting.
* ms office, knowledge and management of erp systems, knowledge of tress.
* knowledge of production processes in the electronics industry.
* knowledge and management of the following laws: isr, active tax, vat, federal labor code, social security, housing fund and retirement, commerce, corporations, maquila decree, state taxes, state and local regulations, inegi, foreign investment.
* handling of std costing methodology and current.
* knowledge and support of cyclic inventory count.
