Overview
Senior Application and Cloud Security Engineer – Automotive Business at SKF Group. SKF is a global supplier of bearings and supporting solutions for rotating equipment, with operations across more than 130 countries.
In September 2024, SKF announced the separation of its Automotive business to form two world-leading companies. The role you are applying for will be part of the Automotive Business, contributing to shaping a new company for the transforming global automotive market.
Responsibilities
- Establish DevSecOps framework with guidelines and procedures to influence secure application development and management of cloud platforms.
- Work closely with development and operations teams to integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle and cloud operations.
- Perform application security assessments and remediation activities as part of the application security program.
- Develop and assist with threat modelling and secure architecture guidelines, collaborating with security architects, enterprise architects, and other IT SMEs.
- Ensure adherence to the Security Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and report compliance towards global requirements.
- Develop tools and technology to integrate DevSecOps and SDLC requirements into development environments.
- Design, develop, and deploy secure guidelines for cloud environments and infrastructure platforms.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, participating in security incident response activities.
- Build security automation to streamline processes and respond to new threats.
- Provide recommendations and consultancy on risk assessment, threat modelling, and fixing vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of application development and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to act quickly and decisively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to educate, inform, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Passion for building an incident management function and shaping operational resilience.
- Several years of work experience in Incident Management or operational roles.
- Academic degree in a relevant field or equivalent working experience.
- Effective English communication, both verbal and written.
Location
Location: SKF Automotive sites globally, with preferred sites including Gothenburg (Sweden), Luton (UK), Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire (France), Airasca (Italy), Cajamar (Brazil), Puebla and Monterrey (Mexico); open to other Automotive locations for the right candidate.
Timeline
