Operations leader (mexico) – outdoor tv sme

we are an agile sme launching a high‑end outdoor tv brand. We have the components in motion and the contract manufacturer chosen, and we are now in a position to hire a hands‑on operations leader based in mexico to own the "last mile" of our launch. You aren’t just managing a process; you are building the engine. You will be the person on the factory floor ensuring every unit is perfect, every component is tracked in the erp, and every shipment clears the border without a hitch, alongside building the front end of the business—a us/dtc marketplace/web site initial launch plan. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a startup scenario with a business that has a track record in europe.


responsibilities

* take ownership of inbound components already in transit; receive, audit, and organize storage at the contract manufacturer.
* implement the chosen erp; map china po, mexico production, us sale and ensure data discipline.
* validate line readiness with the cm: layout, kitting, sops, qc checkpoints, and first‑run readiness.
* be the final word on quality: personally audit the first units, validate the weather‑proofing seals, and ensure the cm’s staff follows sops to the letter.
* coordinate mexico and us freight and 3pl readiness; ensure first shipments flow without border delays.
* audit packaging execution at the cm and monitor damage rates; drive corrective actions.
* define and operationalize warranty/returns/service and all front‑end business workflows.
* us environmental compliance: e‑waste and battery requirements (registration, labeling, ongoing reporting).
* operate as cross‑border single point of truth and rapid issue resolver.


qualifications (must‑haves)

* proven mexico‑based manufacturing operations experience.
* hands‑on erp implementation experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment (implementation, inventory, bom/builds).
* experience with consumer electronics operations (handling, qc, returns/service).
* comfort operating across dtc/marketplace fulfillment flows with a 3pl (order flow, tracking, exceptions).
* bilingual english/spanish (professional fluency).
* able and willing to be on‑site frequently at the tijuana contract manufacturer.


operation manager – eaton aer fed fluid electrical distribution division

we are looking for an experienced and hands‑on operations manager to initiate and subsequently lead operations at our manufacturing facility in tijuana, mexico. This position is responsible for overseeing daily production, workforce management, quality performance, and operational efficiency within a 30,000 sq. ft. facility. The operation focuses on sewing and light assembly processes supporting our global product lines.


essential functions

* manages and directs all manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
* assesses performance indicators and takes appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
* ensures required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.
* assures policies, procedures and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
* provides leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
* supports product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met.
* assures that environmental, health, and safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
* evaluates operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, recommendations, etc.
* develops budgets and resource plans, and monitors performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
* coordinates and assists with business initiatives, participating on teams to drive best practices across enterprise.
* drives continuous improvement efforts through the implementation of lean and six sigma tools and techniques.
* leads the operation to implement eaton business system (ebs) towards the ebe plant certification.
* maintains the quality systems to achieve compliance with aerospace requirements and maintain certification.
* participates with other staff members in establishing operating procedures, goals, and objectives.


qualifications

* mechanical/industrial engineering or similar bachelor’s degree.
* bilingual english/spanish 85 %.
* knowledge of materials planning systems (mrp/erp) requirements and order generation process logic.
* minimum 5 years’ experience in a management position.
* understanding of supply chain management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, and shipping/receiving.
* knowledge of financial concepts and techniques utilized to establish value propositions of operational changes.
* ability to direct and lead cross‑functional process improvement teams.
* solid knowledge of engineering, quality, and manufacturing processes.
* proficiency in problem solving methodologies and statistical quality techniques including spc, pfmea, 8‑d (6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing processes).


preferred specialized knowledge (not required)

* knowledge of lean manufacturing and process variation reduction (six sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management.
* project management experience preferred.
* strong leadership and communication skills.
