Overview:
as a member of the consulting team, the business analyst works with customers on assigned projects to identify solutions to functional and minor technical problems.
*where you will make an impact*
- planning, analysis, coordination and support of our ellucian banner erp system and all components of the unified digital campus (udc) such as: banner document management, degreeworks, workflow, automic/uc4
- provide creative technical input to help develop technical solutions to customer problems including but not limited to the design of user interfaces and development of sql queries
- executing and completing assigned projects within the time and scope negotiated with the customer
- evaluating existing business processes and procedures, making recommendations for improvement
- implementing systems and proof of concepts that best fit the customer's needs
- ensuring customer satisfaction until the project is complete
- participating in multiple projects simultaneously and being able to adapt
- improving and maintaining technical documentation along with processes and procedures
- engaging in continuous learning and adoption of new concepts, technologies and problem-solving techniques
- provide quality end-user consultation and support ellucian’s banner product suite
- write documentation that describes installation and operating procedures
- interact with the customer and other consultants to translate business requirements into functional specifications for conversions, reporting, interfaces, and customizations
- provides guidance in the development of user-training strategy, and when appropriate, delivers such training
- evaluate and modify systems, where appropriate, relative to the customer business practices
- provide customer high-quality business process, change management and other appropriate documentation
- assists clients in troubleshooting issues within the ellucian banner product suite
- demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude

- experience with customer service and mitigating escalations
- experience with oracle database developer including sql, pl/sql, database functions and procedures
- proven ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions
- strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers
- self-starter attitude
- experience using oracle sql development environment such as toad or sql developer.
- proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- itil knowledge (incident, change and problem management)

- strong presentation, verbal and written skills, excellent customer service, as well as high attention to detail
- must be fluent in english
- bachelor’s degree or the equivalent experience
