Overview
the general ledger manager (sap expert) is part of the process and cross-functional team leads, conformed by senior process experts responsible for overseeing the overall to-be design for a specific process area. The general ledger manager (sap expert) has ownership of the project deliverables for the gl business process area and serves as product owner for the functionality and required capabilities to attend business requirements.
essential functions
* share expertise and knowledge related to finance operating models and process’s structure.
* understand current manual je and reconciliations process complexities to foster standardization.
* propose recommendations based on leading practices to address business and operational needs for the gl process.
* lead capabilities to coordinate working sessions with diverse operational teams.
* participate in the process redesign through prioritization to identify the rationale and expected impact.
* define with the it team the required capabilities to be enabled for the future process.
* maintain strong and constant communication with the project leadership to provide status updates.
* propose mitigation plans/actions for identified risks and issues in a timely manner.
* propose operational and strategic kpis and reports for the future process.
entry requirements
* bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, business administration or related field.
* at least 6 years of experience managing or leading general ledger processes.
* experience in end-to-end (e2e) implementation projects.
* bilingual spanish/english is a must. B2+ level or higher.
* process improvement certifications.
