as a junior back-end engineer here at honeywell technology solutions (hts), you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of our back-end systems.
you will work with a team of experienced engineers to design, implement, and test scalable and efficient solutions using java and microservices architecture.
you will report directly to our engineering manager and work out of our hts location in tecnoparque.
this position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for a combination of remote and on-site work.
your work will directly impact the performance and functionality of our software systems, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers.

*key responsibilities*
- collaborate with the team to design and implement back-end solutions using java and microservices architecture
- conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery
- collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs
- stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in back-end development
*you must have*
- bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- strong knowledge of java programming language
- familiarity with microservices architecture and related frameworks
- understanding of software development principles and best practices
- excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- strong english communication and collaboration skills
*we value*
- experience with spring boot or similar frameworks
- knowledge of restful apis and web services
- familiarity with cloud platforms such as aws or azure
- understanding of agile development methodologies
