principal responsibilities
collaborate with hr stakeholders to understand and document business needs, translating them into actionable user stories and functional specifications.
develop a clear vision demonstrating understanding of the client's desired business needs and end state; analyze business processes and their impact on end-user experience.
conceptualize and visualize end-user experiences that delight customers; communicate the value gained through improvements in functionality, design, and operations enhanced or developed in servicenow.
build and maintain client relationships with strong people skills.
review, analyze, and evaluate processes, systems, and user needs for planned projects based on the enterprise business plan.
facilitate analysis workshops, develop business cases, select the most effective solutions, and manage user acceptance testing (uat) to ensure enterprise operational and it deliverables meet requirements.
partner with business users to gather and formulate all requirements into business specifications and translate them into business functionality.
document workflows and analyze business workflows, obtaining sign-off from users on specifications.
assist the technical team in translating application functionality into architecture and business functionality requirements statements.
work with it application analysts and programmers as necessary.
analyze department production and redesign workflows when appropriate; develop, edit, and maintain operating procedures and standards manuals.
assist it staff in understanding enterprise operational needs for both automated and manual solutions to business systems and procedures.
plan, organize, and conduct detailed management analytical studies to define problems, identify deficiencies, and improve solutions, providing a basis for management decisions.
communicate business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team; serve as business interface from the enterprise's operational management team, managing expectations and defining business satisfaction metrics.
design and execute test plans to ensure business requirements and functional specifications are implemented correctly and meet roi objectives.
understand long-term business objectives and suggest strategies to meet those objectives, introducing innovation to business processes through technology where appropriate.
assist enterprise business operations staff in developing content or other materials; recommend enhancements and identify new business requirements.
apply knowledge of system capacity to determine project feasibility.
serve as a consultant for work measurement, system studies, or cost/effectiveness analysis.
provide assistance to external organizations to improve internal procedures advantageous to the enterprise.
conduct training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures.
conduct meetings at all management levels for presentations, reviews, approvals of recommendations, etc.
perform at or above the enterprise performance standard, specifically for procedures development and analysis.
assume additional responsibilities as assigned, recognizing potential areas where existing business services policies and procedures require change or new ones need development, and make recommendations in these areas.
experience
minimum 8 years of overall experience on servicenow implementations, including hrsd, itsm, and other servicenow solutions, in a functional consultant/ba capacity.
at least 4 years of experience on servicenow hrsd pro in a business analyst capacity.
knowledge of itil v3 service life cycle, itsm, hrsd, and servicenow best practices.
practical experience with agile methodologies and tools, writing user stories, and sprint grooming.
strong communication skills, both written and verbal, describing technical solutions in business terms.
experience working in a multi-vendor development environment.
collaborates cross-functionally on matters requiring coordination across the organization and shares information voluntarily.
experience with servicenow platform for global customers.
certifications preferred
servicenow implementation specialist.
itil.
