as an internal sap pp consultant in our l2 support team, your primary purpose is to provide expert-level support and resolution for sap production planning (pp) module-related inquiries. You’ll collaborate with internal customers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment. Your role involves analyzing incidents, creating solution concepts, and implementing customized solutions within the sap ecosystem.
the sap pp consultant works globally in cooperation with other sap teams and reports directly to the it manager of sap global operational support.
key roles & responsibilities
* manage day-to-day workload activity from incidents, requests, and project tasks, collaborating with internal and external it colleagues and business users.
* handle and resolve inquiries from international users related to sap pp and the ‘order to cash’ process (otc).
* analyze customer requirements, configure, and customize sap pp solutions based on business needs.
* collaborate with other it teams to ensure seamless support.
* stay updated on borgwarner architecture and design directions, advising customers accordingly.
* document and test processes and functionalities.
* drive best practice processes and procedures to maximize customer value.
* translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements.
required skills
* bachelor’s degree in business informatics, computer science, or a related field with a strong erp background.
* 6+ years of experience in the responsibilities described, preferably in the automotive industry.
* strong knowledge of configuration/customizing of the ‘order to cash’ process (otc) with focus on sap production planning (pp).
* experience working in sap support roles and communicating effectively with global/regional it teams, internal customers, and suppliers.
* ability to prioritize tasks, work under tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
* results-oriented with problem-solving and analytical skills.
* ability to work in a multinational team.
